A pacemaker check is performed on patients with implanted cardiac devices to check the function, settings or any abnormal heart rhythms that may have been recorded. It involves the use of a computer that communicates with the device wirelessly.
What to expect?
A pacemaker check is a non-invasive and painless test that requires no preparation.
A referral from a medical provider is required – This must also state the brand of the device.
Your appointment?
To access this service, you must have a referral from a medical provider that also states the brand of the device - Appointment necessary.

The patient name, date of birth, phone number and address must be included on the referral. If using fax or email, you will be contacted via mail with the appointment details.
This is a Medicare rebateable service, which is bulk billed and no additional fees are charged.
