A dietitian is a qualified health profession who has the expertise to provide evidence based, individualised dietary counselling to suit your needs.
What do we do?
Grampians Health Ballarat has a team of dedicated dietitians and foodservice staff who assist our clients meet their nutritional needs to optimise their health, nutritional status and quality of life.
Our Dietitians provide nutritional counselling as well as educational support to clients their families and carers. Dietitians are available to consult on all aspects of nutrition including assessment of acute care needs, recommendations for chronic disease management, implementation of therapeutic diets, and nutrition support.
This department also provides teaching and training to other health care professionals.

Our services extend to inpatients, outpatients, residence of residential care facilities and community and regional clients.
