For those experiencing any type of bladder or bowel problems, the Grampians Regional Continence Service can assist.
What do we do?
The Grampians Regional Continence Service (GRCS) is a multi-disciplinary team of health professionals offering clinical assessment and management for those who experience any type of bladder or bowel problems. The service offers advice, education and support to men, women and children through individual management plans. The service also offers assistance to carers and health professionals.
The National Disability Access Scheme (NDIS)
The GRCS provides support for people who have continence issues and are diagnosed with a disability. This service assist consumers and their families to effectively manage their continence needs through the provision of comprehensive continence assessment, intervention and access to continence aids. It is imperative that continence is included in the clients NDIS plan.
The Continence Resource Centre
The Continence Resource Centre is part of the Grampians Regional Continence Service (GRCS). The Resource Centre provides clients with information about a wide range of continence products. Bed Alarms are available for hire on assessment.
How can you access this service?
Anyone experiencing bladder or bowel problems can access this service. Including those with a disability.
Self-referral to the Grampians Regional Continence Service can be made via Central Intake by phoning 5320 6690.
There may be a waiting period to access the Grampians Regional Continence Service and the NDIS program.
The service is based in Ballarat and covers the Grampians health region, from Bacchus Marsh to the South Australian border. Outreach clinics are conducted in Bacchus Marsh, Ararat, Stawell, Horsham and Daylesford on at least a monthly basis.
Fees only apply when equipment is loaned.
