The podiatry department offers outpatient services to patients suffering foot health issues.
What do we do?
Podiatry services offer assistance and treatment to people experiencing issues relating to their feet. This includes the High Risk Foot Clinic, an inpatient service as well as services in Grampians Health Ballarat residential setting.
Who do we care for?
People experiencing foot pain who are outpatients, hospital patients, inpatients at acute and sub acute sites and residential facilities.
What can you expect?
Our Podiatry Service may help assess and treat:
- Nail and skin pathologies of the foot
- Foot wear advice
- Musculoskeletal foot issues
- Diabetic foot assessment management
- High risk foot complications such as; infection, foot ulcers or a collapse of the structure of your feet.
Please Note: Our team does not see patients with healthy feet for ongoing foot care through our outpatient service.
How can you access this service?
A referral from your GP, or another health care provider is required. Appointments are sent via mail and text message. A cost applies to this service.
