If you are considering joining a clinical trial, you are encouraged to ask lots of questions.

We understand you may not know what or who to ask. Your study doctor or trial coordinator is the best person to answer your questions.

We've listed some questions that may help you with what questions to ask your study doctor:

• What will I have to do while I'm part of the trial?
• How much time will I need to give to the trial?
• How long will my clinical trial last?
• What will I have to do as part of this study?
• What are you hoping to get out of this study?
• Have other people had any problems while taking part in this trial?
• What happens if I change my mind about participating?
• Are there other studies I am eligible for?
• What kind of treatment does this study offer?
• What are the side effects of the treatments offered?
• Will I have to pay any money to be part of this trial?
• Can I be reimbursed for travel, parking or food expenses while doing trial-related tasks at the hospital?
• What happens when the trial ends? Does my access to the treatment end?
• What happens if the treatment doesn't work for me?
