Food trucks to thank Grampians Health – Ballarat staff
Grampians Health – Ballarat is thanking staff for their hard work with food trucks on site over the past two weeks to provide team members with lunch.
This latest initiative has been made available to day workers following the roll out of food programs for afternoon- and night-shift workers as part of Grampians Health’s Healthcare Worker Wellbeing Program.
“Our staff wellbeing programs are a really important way to show our team members that we appreciate them and the work they do,” Chief People Officer Claire Woods said. “Earlier this year, we commenced a weekly fresh fruit program for team members, so they have a healthy and easily accessible snack available while they’re on the go at work.
“Following the success of that program, we’ve invested in additional food programs as a great way to support our staff, but also to say thank you. Our workforce is the lifeblood of Grampians Health, and finding more ways to provide support and greater opportunity for them is a priority across our organisation.”
Round the Way Bagels and Burrito Vans have visited sites across Grampians Health – Ballarat including the Queen Elizabeth Centre, Ballarat Aged Care facilities, dental, Eureka Linen and the Base Hospital from Monday 5 to Friday 16 September.
The afternoon- and night-shift meal program was started as a 6week trial across Queen Elizabeth Centre, Base Hospital and Aged Care sites, and has been continued for night-shift staff across those sites through to the end of 2022. The fresh fruit program will continue across sites until March 2023.
These initiatives are part of Grampians Health’s staff wellbeing strategy.
