Celebrating our community
Grampians Health strives to provide care and compassion to all members of our community.
We all have a part to play in combatting discrimination and at Grampians Health we’re continuing to activate, educate and improve. This is something that is important to us every day – and especially on IDAHOBIT (International Day Against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination), May 17, as we join in acknowledging people who identify as LGBTQIA+ and show our continued support for the LGBTQIA+ community.
This year IDAHOBIT is a Grampians Health-wide priority program, and we have pulled together a working group of team members across campuses to plan our activities for the day. The activities include
- Flying the rainbow flag at each campus
- Providing lapel pins to staff to showcase their support for our LGBTQIA+ community
- Profiling team members who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community on our website and social media
- Showcasing the work going into our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion plan
